taking the name of the revered founder of Team Tobati, juan carlos carries the memory of a man who dedicated his life to creating bridges for those who needed them most. taylor: i never had the chance to meet juan carlos garcia, who passed right before I started teaching at the Macchi School. darren, a buddy of mine who spent nine years at the school, would tell me some of his best memories came from playing chess with mr. garcia. he was near impossible to beat, darren admits.
